Our Faith Formation Program cannot run without the help of many volunteers in many different areas.
The skills needed cover a wide-range of talents and time commitments.
There is literally "something for everyone" when it comes to volunteer opportunities.
This position involves teaching in our religious education program anywhere from Grade 1 through Grade 11. Training and all materials are provided for our catechists, as well as, child care for your younger children during classes for Grades 1-6.

Catechists for Grades 1-6 Teach Wednesdays from 4:00 pm to 5:15 pm. Twenty-six classes are held during the school year.
Catechists for Grades 7 & 8 Teach a group of 10 to 12 students weekly on Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
Catechists for Grades 9-11 Teach Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. Groups are mixed ages and change each session.
Substitute Catechists Volunteers are needed to fill in for catechists during times of necessary absence such as illness or schedule conflicts. Materials, lesson plans and child care for Grades 1-6, are provided. Availability on short notice and quick study are needed.
Volunteers are needed to serve as hallway monitors during Faith Formation on Wednesdays.
Help is needed from 3:35-5:15 pm and 6:15-8:00 pm; two volunteers during each session would be ideal. Tasks include monitoring hallways and restrooms during class time to make sure kids are safe. On occasion there may be a small job to do such as stapling papers, cutting shapes, etc. Anyone who volunteers will have to attend a Protecting God’s Children session and submit paperwork for a background check.

Confirmation Discussion Leader
Facilitate discussion with candidates and sometimes their sponsors. Meet on occasional Sundays after Mass or in the evening.
Confirmation Retreat Team Leader
Weekend retreat looks into the sacrament. Group leaders meet with students throughout the weekend to discuss various presentations. Volunteers are also needed to help in the kitchen and on the service team.
Parent Advisory Committee
Meet with coordinator and other parents to discuss issues and concerns, suggest improvements to programming and get acquainted with other parents.
Care for catechist preschool children during classes on Wednesday afternoons. Several volunteers work on a rotating schedule once or twice a month. Need to arrive 15 minutes before the beginning of classes.
