A Message From Our Pastor:

Greetings from St. Bernadette Parish: The "Fifty and Free...Free to Serve" campaign is a unique opportunity to finally make St. Bernadette a debt-free parish, so that the prayer, service and sharing of this community can be directed toward even greater service to God's will and calling.

The Golden Jubilee of St. Bernadette Parish in 2010 presents a great opportunity. How wonderful it would be to have met the financial obligations of the parish as we celebrate our 50th year as a church community, allowing us to serve our Lord in so many additional ways!

"Fifty and Free...Free to Serve" is not just a tag line; it is a call to all of us in the St. Bernadette community to actively participate in responding to God's call.

I personally invite you now to help your parish meet our goal of "Fifty and Free...Free to Serve".

Since my arrival at St. Bernadette Parish, I have been touched by the spirit of commitment, prayerfulness and service of everyone I've met. I have been overwhelmed by the words and actions of welcome I've received since the day I walked through the door as your new pastor. Of course, I am grateful for the blessings of the beautiful church in which I am privileged to minister and worship. Even more praiseworthy has been the open spirit of parishioners who have already stepped up to service and volunteer opportunities.

I recognize that our goal of raising $1.55 million is a lofty one. I believe firmly, however, that with a little sacrifice and support from all parishioners, we can and will meet our goal. In the short time I've been here, I've seen the spirit of love for God and his wonderful church in the good people of St. Bernadette. We will accomplish our goal of being free from debt at the end of this campaign.

So I invite you to join me and the rest of our people in praying for God's continued blessing and guidance as we undertake this important project. Please respond generously to our appeal. I hope you find it in your heart to pledge both your dollars and of yourselves in time and talent commensurate with the many blessings that God has given you.
