Building and Grounds Committee:
To plan and get involved with major capital and maintenance projects. Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all St. Bernadette properties.

Building and Grounds (Special Skills):
What special skills do you have to offer our parish? Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, roofing, sheet metal, welding, etc...

Bulletin - Stuffing Inserts:
Volunteers who help put together the bulletins and stuff inserts.

Church Cleaning:
Volunteers assist in cleaning the church for 1.5 to 2 hours on a monthly basis during weekday mornings, afternoons, and Thursday evenings. Keep our church beautiful!

Clean Up Day - Parish Grounds:
Spring and Fall clean up day for parish buildings and grounds. Planting, weeding, painting, and repairing buildings.

Finance Council:
The parish finance council directs itself to sound policies of management of parish funds and properties. The parish finance council organizes the temporal goods of the parish for the implementation of the parish program to accomplish the parish mission. It is responsible for soliciting funds, managing the parish budget and facilities, thus enabling the parish to carry out its mission.

Golf Outing Fundraiser:
Help in preparing and/or implementing details for the annual Golf Outing Fundraiser. The different opportunities to help are:

Human Concerns Committee:
This committee's purpose is to assist the parish in responding to Jesus' command to love our neighbor by addressing social justice issues and the needs of all people. Committee members will identify and provide opportunities for parishioners to assist those in need with gifts of time, talent, and treasures.

This committee meets once each month from September to May to discuss possible activities for the parish and the community.

Catholic Resources Library :
The library contains multimedia and literature on many valuable subjects such as:

Besides hard copy books, the Catholic Resource Library houses books on tape, books on CD, videos and music CDs.


Money Counter:
Assist with counting weekly collections.

Office Help:
Answer phones when secretary is on vacation. Filing, stuffing bulletins, copying, and printing.

ParishFest - Annual Picnic:
Help in preparing and/or implementing details for the annual parish picnic. All ages needed. Annual fundraiser to help the parish meet its budget needs.

Parish Fundraising Committee:
Committee plans and coordinates annual events and fundraisers for the parish. Recruit parishioners to chair and help at events and fundraisers.

Parish Council:
The parish pastoral council sets the direction of parish life through listening and responding to the Spirit of God, organizing lay participation and cooperation, facilitating shared practical wisdom, and doing parish planning. The pastor with the assistance of the parish pastoral council determines the vision/mission of the parish.

Parish Trustee:

A Parish Trustee is an active, responsible parish member who is called to serve the parish as advisor, overseer and counselor.

The treasurer trustee works with the pastor in the coordination and maintenance of financial record keeping, reviews annual parish budget and signs the annual financial report to the diocese. The treasurer trustee holds an important role in the parish community as a member of the finance council and also has check-signing responsibilities.

The secretary trustee works closely with the pastor in overseeing the operations of the parish in various capacities. The secretary trustee holds the responsibility of relaying vital information to the parish community. The secretary trustee holds an important role in the parish community as a member of the parish council and also has check-signing responsibilities.

Prayer Shawl Ministry:
This group comes together and knits shawls and pray for people in need, such as the ill, new mothers and people dealing with traumatic events. Meetings are every other Thursday at 12:30 pm.

Renew Group - Prayer Chain:
You can call the parish office and submit anything that you would like to be prayed for. The parish office then contacts someone who begins spreading the word to others so that many people can pray for this subject.

Scrip Program (Parish):
Several people needed to coordinate parish scrip program. Recruit and schedule volunteers to sell scrip after every Mass, maintain inventory of scrip certificates and scrip financial reporting.

Stewardship Committee:
Promotes opportunities for all members to share gifts of time, talent and treasure for the good of the entire parish. Sponsors the annual stewardship fair.

Card Ministry:
A unique group that creates handmade cards to mail to parishioners for any need or occasion. Meetings are the last Wednesday of each month in the Resource Room.
