St. Bernadette Parish

The Green Bay Diocese program Protecting God's Children (VIRTUS) offers training that helps all people recognize symptoms of abuse in children or vulnerable adults. We as people of God need to be a part of the protection of children and vulnerable adults.

All volunteers who have regular ongoing contact with children, youth and vulnerable adults are required to participate in this three hour workshop. Examples of persons affected include but are not limited to:

-Altar Server Trainers
-Cafeteria Volunteers
-Catechists
-Chaperones for Field Trips
-Chaperones for Youth Group Events
-Children's Liturgy of the Word Leaders
-Classroom Aides/Assistants (R.E. and ACES)
-Coaches and Assistants (Parish, R.E. and ACES)
-Nursey Programs (Parish, R.E. and ACES)
-Playground Supervisors
-School Volunteers (ACES)
-Scout Leaders (Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Girl Scout)
